Description : About 6 miles E of Oxford, off A40, ¼ mile W of Wheatley, turn R from Ladder Hill into Windmill Lane.
An octagonal 3-storey stone tower mill, which dates from 1764. The mill used to grind ochre as well as wheat. Privately owned, but under restoration by volunteers. Some of the original machinery, including two pairs of millstones, remains.
Souvenirs on sale.
Opening times : May to October, 2nd Sunday in month, 14.00 – 18.00. Parties by appointment.
